What I Was Missing
Have you ever tried to force the wrong piece into a puzzle?
For years now I’ve been offering charity leaders a variety of tools, training, and consulting all based on the duality of Healthy Leaders and Healthy Organizations. I’m really proud of the work I’ve done and the successes we’ve seen together. It’s been both impactful and gratifying.
But as I’m working a lot with executive and leadership teams I often found myself trying to jury-rig tools and concepts from those two areas to fit the particular needs of these groups. It’s been good, but not great. I knew there were missing pieces. I just couldn’t figure out what they were.
Last week something clicked into place.
Starting this week I’m going to be piloting a draft version of a new model and assessment called, no surprise here, Healthy Teams.
It builds on the established Healthy Leaders and Healthy Organizations tools with more focus on the dynamics that make some teams thrive and experience real synergy, and even fun, while getting meaningful results. It’s practical, direct, and challenging in ways I’m excited to share.
(For anyone wondering, I’m not planning to change the Lead With Catalyst slogan or logo, but there will be new content coming to the website as this proves effective).
There will be some new workshops, some adapting of current ones, and a simple online assessment teams can complete to identify where they need to give attention and intention. It will be the biggest addition to my work in a few years.
Some of you will prefer to wait until I’ve tested and fine tuned all this new stuff, which will take until January I expect. But if you’re the type who is open to being part of the development stage, or your team needs help ASAP and you trust me to provide it even with some of the rough edges not yet smoothed, I’d love to talk to you about bringing Healthy Teams to you as a team retreat or miniseries of training sessions this fall.
Your team is where you have the most influence. Let’s make yours remarkable together!
